EVEN at JEC in Paris 2012 |
Meet EVEN at booth W82. In collaboration with ANSYS France and Componeering the EVEN software products Ansys Composite PrepPost (ACP) and the composite post-processor ComPoLyX are demonstrated. The latest improvements of ACP 14.0 and ComPoLyX 1.0 will be introduced. We are pleased to meet you there or

Composite Summer Academy 2012 |
CADEFM CH and the IKT institute of Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz FHNW arrange the 3rd Composite Summer Academy taking place at Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz in Windisch. The seminar from July 2-6 2012 covers these topics:
- Laminate theory
- Construction
- Simulation with ANSYS Composite PrepPost
- Testing
- Comparison of test and FE simulation results
René Roos from EVEN gives the lectures on theory of composite materials and Finite Element Analysis (FEA). First the basics of the Classical Laminate Theory and FEA are discussed. In addition ANSYS Composite PrepPost is introduced to evaluate the stiffness and strength of the construction.
Detailed information and the registration form can be found here. |

Optimization of a Windturbine Blade |
EVEN has profound experiences in the field of composite design and numerical optimization. Especially for composite structures where the number of parameters can increase to more than several hundreds, numerical efficient algorithms are quite important.
An effective design loop including CAD, laminate design, optimization and the delivery of manufacturing data is described in the latest Lightweight Design magazine (6/11). The entire design concept and remarkable results are described and illustrated. Thanks to the efficient CAE concept, EVEN's software tools OpLyX (optimization platform) and ACP (Ansys Composite Pre- and Post-Processor), the blade weight could be reduced by more than 10% at equal stiffness and strength.
